Gameloft’s Modern Combat 5: Blackout is a first-person shooter for iOS and Android devices that allow you to play in both multiplayer and single-player mode.

Modern Combat 5 brings plenty of improvements. It’s much better and improved graphics, new weapons with more options and attachments, exciting campaign story that is brand new and multiplayer mode.

Modern Combat franchise is known for its excellent multiplayer mode. For single-player, as you try to hunt down a bent on tearing the world, you’ll need to shoot your way from one situation after another. In multiplayer mode, you can team up with friends and create your own squad, as you compete with teams from all around the world in Squad vs. Squad activity.

There are five classes to select from, and you can activate abilities specific to your class by making and spending Skill Points. We’d suggest reading our record of Modern Combat 5 tips and strategies for the game mode before heading off to battle.

1. Adjust Your Control Settings First

So you went to the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and just downloaded Modern Combat 5: Blackout. We get your excitement, but the first thing you need to do is check your controls before you enter the battlefield. We recommend turning Auto-Sprint on, as it allows your character to move incredibly fast. The Custom HUD option is also recommended in case you’re uncomfortable with the default controls. There’s no right or wrong way to set controls, just so long as you are familiar with the setup. Once you are okay with the control, stick to it as muscle memory goes a long way.

2. Familiarize Yourself With The Classes

The game has a total of five categories, beginning with the default Recon class, that is best in managing pistols and SMGs. Recon is recommended for medium-range or close-range action. Assault soldiers, of course, use assault rifles and pistols and are greatest concerning dealing damage. Soldiers that are heavy are excellent for close-range fighting, Snipers use sniper rifles for long-range attacks, and Support is fundamentally the class.

3. Use Auto-Shoot If You Are Starting Out

New to FPS games, or new to Modern Combat 5: Blackout? As the game has an Auto-Shoot option available, there is no need to worry. Turn it on, and the game will shoot at an enemy once your target viewpoint homes in on one. As a bonus to this tip, Auto-Aim is only accessible in single-player mode, while Auto-Crouch may be helpful for Modern Combat 5.

4. Keep your eye on The Crosshairs

Examine that, and the crosshair size will tell you precisely how accurate you are aiming your weapon. Your accuracy will be best when you are using a scope or iron sights. It’ll be good if you’re standing when you’re still and crouching. But if you’re running or walking, expect your accuracy to be anywhere between iffy and all-out dreadful.

5. Collect Experience Points

With more experience points, you’ll be able to access accessories and superior weapons, customize your character, and choose various classes of soldier. You can get XP particularly if you’ve got three stars and even grind for XP. Trick shots like headshots and explosive kills are also a wonderful way to earn XP.

6. Be Aggressive

You will have a painful experience if you try to hide. Good players know where scared players are and will go there. Camping isn’t a good solution. You will find yourself stuck there and the player will be able to eliminate you if players come where you are positioned.

7. Find Good Positions

It’s a good idea to find advantageous areas if you like to hide and think you can face players when they appear near you. The best positions are usually places from where you can see a portion of the map. In this instance, using a sniper is your choice because you will be able to eliminate other players who are from the position you currently are far from you.

8. Use Grenades and knives

Knives and grenades are very underrated on Modern Combat series. The truth is that they are insanely powerful. There are some over powered grenades which can eliminate the enemy even if it has good armor and full health.

9. Choose the right weapon

There is no such thing as the perfect weapon. There are excellent weapons for different situations. If you’re at a place that is high along with you can’t be reached by other players easily, the sniper is the best weapon. The rest of the players are near you, and if you are in an area that is closed, you should use a gun which has a fast firing speed so a lot of bullets can be shot in a few seconds.

Get a weapon that has extended magazines and stabilization attachments, so you don’t have to reload your weapon many times.
